Danielle Golden, CRNA, DNP
Cofounder, Vice President
As cofounder of The Remedy I bring a wealth of experience to our practice, including working with patients as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Hudson Hospital for nearly seven years and acting in the same capacity at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice Anesthesia from the University of Minnesota after earning my Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.
I have witnessed the devastating effects mental health and substance use disorders have had on people in my life; which has led me to develop strong compassion for patients and their families who deal with these disorders. As a science informed practitioner I came across a research article discussing the high success rates for treating depression with ketamine; from that point forward I knew that I wanted to use my anesthesia skills to help those suffering from mood, pain and substance use disorders. As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, I am an expert in using Ketamine, which has been used in anesthesia for 60 years.
My personal and professional values drive me to treat each patient as an individual with compassion and without judgment. I seek ways to solve problems in a supportive and caring way. I also strive to create an environment which cultivates a sense of caring, warmth and safety. I have always been the person that had a big heart for those going through difficult times; always finding a way to get through it, looking past how they got there.
As a nurse anesthetists one of my favorite surgeries to provide anesthesia care for are maternity patients undergoing cesarean sections. Quite often these patients are awake and extremely nervous. I enjoy providing them with comfort and supporting them through a sometimes scary and emotional time as they welcomed their new little one into the world.
The personal relationships I forge with my patients, sets me apart from other professionals in my field. My intention is for patients to feel that we are on this journey together.
I create with my patients a shared journey in which they know that they are well cared for with trust, compassion and expert care. My patients describe me as authentic, caring, and willing to go to great lengths to ensure the best possible outcome for them.
I always do what I can do alleviate any anxieties or fears they may have. I truly work hard to make them feel safe and that I have their best interest at heart 100 percent of the time.
What excites me the most about being part of The Remedy is the opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of my patients. I love being able to be a part of my patients’ ongoing journey and improved health and wellness. When working in the operating room I do not often get the opportunity to have that type of relationship with my patients. At The Remedy, I now get to be fulfilled this way both professionally and personally.
Jeff and I are cut from the same cloth and share the vision of providing “patient centered” care. Our individual paths have left us both with big hearts and inspired us to co-create The Remedy to provide those who are suffering the compassionate, effective care they need.
